Hi Tobias, the cupcakes are indeed different to the normal flavours, and quite lovely too. The frosting looks very tasty as well. How do you get your liners not to soak up the grease from the cupcakes?

ReplyDeleteGreat post and photos...
Hi Tobias,
ReplyDeleteThese sound fantastic, but before I make them I just thought I'd ask to confirm what kind of sesame oil you use. Is it light or dark (roasted)? I'd assume you use light, since you're describing it as a neutral oil, which roasted sesame oil definitely isn't. In East Asian countries, roasted sesame oil is the norm, but 80ml of that in cupcakes would be pretty insane because it adds a lot of flavour.
Could you let me know?
Thanks!
Claudia
Hi Claudia,
DeleteYou are absolutely right about the kind of oil: It's the light variety I'm using here for the very reason you have mentioned. With all the roasted sesame seeds already going in here, dark sesame oil would simply be overpowering. :)
absolutely tempting
